How To Delete Cookies From Your Hard Disk
Here are some easy to follow instruction to manage cookies already on your computer. These instructions will guide you through how to view, delete, and manage your cookies. Remember all cookies are not bad. Some are only there to remember your preferences and personalize your experience. Some cookies may be needed to gain access to certain Web sites.
How To Delete Selected Cookies
- On the top menu bar on Internet Explorer click Tools.
- Click Internet Options.
- Under the General tab, Temporary Internet Files, click Settings.
- Click View Files. You will now see all the cookies and browser pages cached on your computer's hard disk. The cookies will be identified by cookie and your name under the name of the file listed first.
- You can now select the files and cookies that you would like to delete.
- Click Delete and then okay. While you are in this menu, you can also set the disk space for your browser cache or stored pages. I usually set mine at 1800 MB. Click okay.

How To Manage Your Cookies
- On the top menu bar on Internet Explorer click Tools.
- Click Internet Options.
- Click the Privacy tab.
- Move the slider on the bar on the left to the setting you desire. I usually use the medium or low setting. Try medium first. If a site that you like will not let you in, you may need to lower your setting or at the bottom of the page or override the cookie action for that particular Web site by using the Edit button and enter the Web site address in the format of this example http://www.cookieallow.com.
- When done, click okay.
