Getting Links the Easy Way with "Link Bait" Articles
You don't have to fish for links, you can get them the easy way with "link bait". If you have never heard the term "link bait", let me take a moment to define the term for you. Link bait, as we are concerned in this newsletter, is an informational article, that is syndicated on free content websites. At these sites, website, blog, and ezine owners cruise for free content for their publications. The link bait articles, when well written and informational in tone, can be widely circulated on the Web. What makes these articles particularly valuable is that each one contains links back to your website and the links are one way; in bound to you!
It has long been argued by search engine optimization experts that building one way in bound links is an excellent strategy to move up in the organic search engine page ranks (SERPs). We are monitoring the statistics for one client very closely and will be measuring the number of links, the syndicating websites, and movement in the SERPs in the next month. But in the meantime, let me share with you the radical success we've had so far in syndication of his articles.
In less than one month four of our client's articles got picked up nearly 148 times! Check out the sites showing the articles by reviewing the search query on the article title on Google.com:
We think if you choose to peruse any of the articles that you will agree that they are interesting, written in an engaging style, and worthy of syndication. If you are interested in doing feature articles or "link bait" for your website and overall website visibility plan, please visit our Feature Article Writing page for pricing and more information.

Build Search Engine "Authority Links" with Press Releases
Are you looking for more website traffic or more "quality and authoritative" links? Search engine optimization gurus agree that well-crafted press releases are another way to build traffic, quality industry authoritative links, and authority for your website. You can tell the world your news! There are many services that can send your international and local press release out on the Web. One of the largest and best known services is PRWeb. But sending out your press release is the last step in the process, how do you write a press release and when should you do one?
Press releases can be an excellent way to announce a new service, new business partner, or new feature to your website. As press releases go, the distribution service and level of distribution you choose, will determine whether your press release will be a quality one way in bound link to your website forever. With PRWeb at all price levels you have the link to your website forever from the PRWeb press release archive which is picked up by all the major search engines. Choose higher levels of distribution, by paying more, and you get more links from other websites in your industry to your own website. The great thing about press releases is that the links coming to you are from authoritative "in your industry" sites and therefore may be weighted by search engines more favorably than other types of links.
How do you write a press release?
A press release should always be written in the third person and must make sure to answer the questions who, what, where and when. A typical press release will be between 600 to 800 words in length and typically follows a specific format. You can check out several press releases that we have recently written to see what we mean when we say a "specific format".
Typically, linking using keyword dense anchor text, is actually done within the press release service's control panel and some even have criteria and a special linking syntax (not HTML syntax) to make a hyperlink appear in the content when they distribute your release. Some services may even only allow hyperlinks at certain price and distribution levels.
When should you do a press release?
You really should have some specific news in mind for your press release. Consider announcing a new team member, a new product, or a new selling partner. Your press release writer, if you use one, can certainly help you figure out what would be best to promote. You don't need to employ a professional writer to write the press release for you, but many do.
For businesses who do not want to write their own press releases, we do offer a press release writing service and have you select distribution options if you would like for us to distribute it for you. If you already have a service that you work with for distribution, we can just supply the press release in Word format for you to load and distribute yourself.
Combined with link bait articles, press releases are just one more savvy tool to have in your Web visibility arsenal.

Become an Authority On the Web in Your Field by Blogging
We'll tell you a secret, another way to build search engine traffic, create topical search engine entries to your website and services, and to build personal authority and credibility in your industry is to blog. Blogging is an exceptionally effective way to build content on your website and keep site visitors on your site longer. In addition, search engines love high informational content websites and usually reward them with higher page position rankings. Effective blogging can help you take advantage of all of these potential benefits.
Blogging can be fun and you don't need a professional writer to blog for you, but after about 30 days, blogging can start to feel like a chore. To get the best benefits that blogging can provide; authority, possibly improved organic positioning, visitors staying longer on your website, and increase site traffic, you need to blog a minimum of three days a week.
Because consistent blogging can be time consuming, many firms turn to professional bloggers to keep their blog up-to-date. Blog posts are most effective around 200 to 300 words long and will contain keyword dense titles. A blog post will typically take a novice or non-professional blogger 30 to 45 minutes to write. Professional bloggers will typically take 10 to 20 minutes to create a well-written post. When you employ a blog writer, the authority of the content and the length of the content for your blog post may be determined by the price level of service or the blogging firm that you employ.
When you select a blog writing firm, if you have decided you do not want to blog yourself, make sure to review content that they have created online. Ask if your posts will contain hyperlinks back to your website and how many each post will contain, if you are blogging for search engine benefits. Ask if your blogger will be an English speaking native. If they will not be, make sure to check the policy on revisions and to ask who will be reviewing the completed content for readability. You do not want to become your blogger's proofreading service if you can help it! Make sure to specify what topics you want written for your blog and take the time to supply links to content you like to get your blogger started on the right foot.
Blog writing is a core business for us and if you are looking for a professional blog writer, make sure to check out our ghost blogging information page for service levels and pricing.
We love writing for real estate blogs and are looking to take on more! The majority of real estate blog writing can be easily done at our Jade Level ($15 per post). Blogs can be a real boon for an agent or real estate business. Many successful agents use their blog to create authority in their community. By branding their blog with their name, and showcasing events happening in their community, their blog can quickly become the place to checkout first for a restaurant review, community event, or the place to publish an announcement. Additionally, when this focus is taken, search engine placement on the county name can be quickly achieved. The blog will be trafficked by regular community members and searched for by potential new residents; exposing your name and services to prospects in a winning community-centered way that may be business building for you. Visit Eastern Madera County News and Macomb County Voice as an example of this savvy approach for real estate agents.
