• Google's Supplemental Index: Effective July 31, 2007, Google has stopped labeling pages with the Supplemental index tag. It appears according to Prashanth Koppula, Product Manager, and Matt Cutts, Software Engineer at Google that the difference between the main index and supplemental index is narrowing. Now that Google has recently even removed the Supplemental Index tag it is nearly impossible to identify which pages you have are actually in their Supplemental Index. Previously a special query on Google would show pages labeled with a Supplemental Index tag. Now it does not, and appears to return all of the pages on your website. So I would not worry about the Supplemental Index versus the regular index at this point.
