Dear Friend,
Happy New Year! I hope that you rang in the New Year with friends and family as I did. It seemed that 2007 flew by and here it is 2008 already. The older you get the quicker time seems to fly by. But then again one of my ten year old triplets said the same thing "gee, this year has gone by so fast", so maybe it is more a busy schedule thing than an age thing. :0)
I am hoping that this newsletter will find you relaxed from the holiday season and ready to embrace the new year.
Cheers and Best Regards,
Nancy McCord

The New Improved Microsoft adCenter
If you have not considered expanding your pay per click advertising onto Microsoft adCenter, you may want to think again. Microsoft has aggressively reworked the program, account control panel, and ad serving systems.
I personally advertise on Microsoft adCenter and like the product for my business needs. I also advertise my own business on Yahoo Sponsored Search as well as Google AdWords. Additionally, I manage client accounts on all three services. There are several things that I think are unique about Microsoft adCenter and wanted to share them with you in this issue.
Gender and Age Targeting
No other pay per click vehicle has this nailed down like Microsoft adCenter. You can pay an incremental bid to have your ads shown to a particular gender or age group. This can be particularly valuable when you are using highly competitive keywords and your regular ad may not be appearing on the first page of results because your bid is low. With gender and age targeting when Microsoft senses a match to your criteria, your ad moves to the "top" of the ad listings increasing your opportunities for a sale.
Dynamic Parameters For Customized Selling
All the pay per click vehicles have dynamic keyword insertion, but Microsoft is the only one that allows you by keyword to create two additional dynamic parameters allowing you to offer customized promotions or offers by keyword. For example if your dynamic keyword inserted the word roses in the ad, your dynamic parameter could list a 10% discount and the other dynamic parameter could announce free shipping. The dynamic keyword lilies could have a 15% discount and 10% off shipping in the same ad group. Although not every account and product lends itself to the use of these special dynamic tools, they provide a level of flexibility that Yahoo and AdWords simply do not have.
Quality Content Sites
Quality content sounds like an oxymoron, but this is a big factor and unique to Microsoft. Right now their content network consists only of quality Microsoft owner properties. If you choose to advertise in the content network your Microsoft adCenter ad does not appear on www.JoeBlow.com or other content publisher site created only to get people to click ads. You get excellent exposure on the quality and high traffic Microsoft content properties. The way Microsoft does content may change over time, but for now, if you are looking for exposure at pay per click figure versus per 1,000 impression and only want to have your ad on quality sites, Microsoft adCenter would be the choice for you.

New Ghost Blogging Projects
We've recently started working on a number of new ghost blogging projects that I want to showcase in this issue. We now have five bloggers on staff that write on a wide variety of topics for our ghost blogging customers. All of our bloggers are college educated professionals and some even with higher level degrees. They are homemakers, translators, senior citizen caregivers, professional journalists, and even high level government project managers.
BeatHillaryClinton.com is one of our newest projects. You may not agree with the politics, but I have to say that the writing we are doing for this blog is some of the most humorous that we have done. Many posts are sure to give you a chuckle for the day. Our blog team is having a lot of fun on this blog and even though we are working for a client whose desire is to defeat Hillary Clinton, some of our bloggers may actually be voting for her. Here is one in particular that is sure to get you laughing even if you are a Clinton fan about first lady coins.
Timeshare Insights is the blog for Timeshare Giant a new timeshare superstore and advertising resource. The writing is colorful and reads like a well-written travel guide complete with color pictures of properties and locations. If you have ever wanted to try out a resort property for your next vacation Timeshare Giant and Timeshare Insight is a great place to browse and select a vacation destination.
Eastern Madera County Voice is the brainchild of Brandon Fairbanks of Montecino & Associates and real estate expert and consultant Ralph Roberts. This community blog is updated not only by two of our own bloggers on a daily basis, but by local residents as well; creating a vibrant interactive information hub for the community. I find that our writers have been able to give a very local view point to the blog even though both of them live on the East coast and Madera County is in California.
