New Google Places Account Set Up and Monthly Updates
Are you looking to appear on Google Places? Nancy McCord has researched and written about Google Maps or Google Places
over the years and has tested multiple techniques. She has been asked to perform
Google Places account services by many clients and has created a program
that helps businesses set up their new Google Places business page.
Don't get fleeced by businesses stating that they guarantee Google Places placement. We have identified in some markets what appears to be a placement trend, but have found that this same combination does not hold true in other markets. At this time, there is no consistent formula to receive top Google Places placement. We do know that businesses that update their account on a regular basis, offer coupons, and have customer reviews do seem to place better than other businesses without these same elements.
It is important to know that we do not guarantee any specific placement on Google Places and do not provide account repair or remediation services. You should be very careful of using any firm that does guarantee placement or improvement in visibility. Google has not revealed any specific information about how to optimize for Google Places to any resource and in fact we have debunked some of the techniques used by "Google Places guaranteed placement firms" and have written extensively on the topic of best practices for Google Places. Now you can use our expertise in this area in setting up a new Google Places page for your business.
A Special Note: Please be aware that we do not provide account remediation services (where you previously had placement and have now been dropped from Google Places). We do not provide services for businesses trying to set up a Google Places account at an address other a legitimate business location in order to appear in an area where they do not have a physical presence.
As of November 2011, typically your Google Places listing will link directly to your website. There may be a link in your listing that will forward readers to your Google Places review section, but no longer does Google force a reader to view a Google Places page in order to find out information about that business.
Our Set Up Program Consists of the Following Services:
Set Up of Your Google Places Account and Verification Assistance - $240 (per business location)
We will set up of your Google Places account and provide assistance in
address verification for your business location. Set up for additional locations is additional. Please be aware that is some cases Google may only
offer a regular mail option for account authentication. You will need to
watch for the envelope and then call us with the PIN number. Where we can,
we will try to verify the account by telephone or mobile phone. Once your
account has been verified with Google it may take up to four weeks for your
listing to appear in the Google Places and Google.com local search index.
Google AdWords Express Advertising SetUp
If you have selected to promote your business with Google AdWords Express Advertising tied to your Google Places account we'll help with that set up too while we are setting up your Google Places page. AdWords Express is an automated ad serving platform that does not require management. It is automated by Google and supplied click traffic to your website or Google Places page with clicks billed directly to your credit card installed in your Google Places account.
Your set up price also includes the purchase of 20 images or the purchase of royalty-free images (with a price cap of $3 retail per photo). We will rotate these images in your account when we are providing monthly updates. We typically use iStockPhoto for our image purchases.
Monthly Update of your Google Places account - $25 (per business location)
When we update your account, we will review all information, replace some of the images, load new videos you have loaded onto YouTube (if you send us the URLs), and update your owner comments.
Our hourly rate for Google Places Services is $80/hour.
We're sorry, but we do not provide existing Google Places account remediation, guaranteed Google Places Page placement improvement, or resolve Google Places problems for existing Google Places accounts.
